bg - I almost hope you're right. I have a pile of green paper that I want to trade for gold metal but kind of reluctant to do it right here and now (though I have been accumulating Goldmoney in dribs and drabs). Hmmmmm...

I see that Sinclair is offering a no-risk guarantee to his subscribers to help them get physical but after reading about Monex on the Better Business Bureau web site I am not at all inclined to send business their way (http://www.bbbsouthland.org).

There is talk of the Kerry campaign challenging as many as 8 or 10 of the swing state results in the upcoming presidential election and declaring himself the winner regardless of the count on election day. This would inject a great deal of uncertainty into the election, the country and the world political scene. I can only see such an outcome as leading to a grand decline in stocks. Would precious metals be looked at as a safe alternative in such a situation or would the shares of the mining stocks tank with the rest of the market? I can see it as a likely possibility to short the market or cut back just prior to the election but I'm not sure that gold will suffer. I have almost all my money in metals and energy.
ciao,
rolatzi

Well Roffey says through 430 like a knife through butter.

My analysis was not sentimental, it agrees.

If I want to chart a bearish EW pattern it does not make sense, to me anyway. I can, but it would call for a multi-week down, not a short dip. I don't see that and it does not appear to be a technical correct analysis.
