"Hopefully generations from now people will wonder why powerful countries like the US allowed oppressive regimes like Saddam's to exist for 20 years before destroying them"

or if historians do a good job of documenting events, future generation might wonder, why US supported a tyrant like saddam in the first place against his war with iran, and why Bin Laden and Mujahiddins were freedom fighter with American weapons, when they were on our side fighting the Russians. How did it all backfire ?

And they might wonder why US has a noble goal of bringing freedom to Iraq and the middle east, but is supporting to oust a democratic government in Venezuala ?

Bum.
