glenn, OT >>Haim. While I appreciate this is the view of the geopolitician, are you really that cynical? Is the morality of the holocaust dependent on whose economic self-interest you consider? After all, it was significantly done in the economic self-interest of xenophobic members of the German tribe.<<

your statement seems very odd - could you justify the extermination of Gypsies for economic interests? ... or the extermination of Jewish population in Poland, Latvia, Estonia, today 's CECC, or Belarus, Ukraine, Romania, Basarabia, Bukovina, Russia and other places as economically advantageous for the Third Reich?

what riches were collected there from all those people ? Did those Jews or those under Stalin rule posses any valuable assets ? or may be the golden teeth or human hair have economic value in your judgement? Or do you see the manufacture of soap from humans as economically advantageous ? To who ? I do not think that you truly understand the subject.

Using those people as slaves in forced work camps may have some economic advantages but ..... hoarding them with the sole purpose of being exterminated by gassing them to death is an economic drag from the logistics involved, transportation, security oversight, troops used in the process, camp building including the gas chambers

OT - Even if you are strongly opposing the Iraq war why should that blur your judgment of things past ?
