Perhaps I'll refrain from commenting further on this until I can refresh my memory of what I once learned -- especially given the fact that I wasn't around then so I hardly have first hand experience to offer.

It was pretty amazing what Schacht and the Nazis were able to do with a vigorous Keynesian program of public works. Sort of embarrassing though.
