I didn't make anything up. My son gave me that info and his brother in law who is a Pastor in Houston ( of a small church). The Catholics were growing with leaps and bounds during that period............especially in an area that had many hispanics. Other friends told me about the dislike many southern christians had for them. I also went to a church that openly condemned the catholics for drinking. I am a Catholic myself now but have "visited" many churches over the years. My son's wife is the daughter of a Pentacostal minister so I have heard it all ( more times than I care to recall). Have a glass of wine and forget about it!
