For the Kerry/Security Council thing to work, a substantial number of the 15 members of the Security Council in 2003 must be willing to go on the record. Of those, a fair amount probably want Kerry to win, e.g. France (permanent member) and Germany (rotating member).

Here's a list of the present members, it was slightly different in 2003.

It will be interesting to see. I have been constantly surprised at how well the SwiftBoat Vets thing has held up, but that's something that has been in the pipes for many years, just waiting to burst out.
