Haim. I was considering "economic" self-interest in a category of self-interest (or national interest) in general. My point being that justifying actions on the base of national self-interest - economic or otherwise - can lead to extraordinarily warped morality or lack thereof. And yes, the extermination of Gypsies, Jews, Armenians, Guatemalans, Vietnemese, etc. all fall into this category. Perhaps I didn't state this position very well, but that was more my intent.
