Realpolitik is like democracy and capitalism--horrible systems except for all the others. In many ways bush reminds me of carter these days--a failed presidency teetering on the edge of being a one term deal. There is the same self righteousness seen here as with carter. Now can a man of the left like kerry do for this country what a man from the right reagan did 24 years ago? I dont see it so we are stuck with carter/bush. There were other dems who might have filled the bill. Mike
