Another thing Chinese has done better, people can go to specialists directly when they feel sick. All they need to do is to buy a registration number (at a minimal price (2-5 Yuan, e.gl. 25-55 US pennies) for the specialty section they want at the entrance of the hospital, then go visit (first come first server) a specialist doctor. No more stinking referral.
