we control fully the fuel cycle from the time it gets into their power plants till the time it is removed, after it is spent.

Therein lies the rub.

Saddam kicked out inspectors with impunity in '98. What makes you think the Mad Mullahs can't do the same should they accpet Kerry's offer?

Moreover, what good does it do to call the Iranians' bluff a la Jean Forbet Kerry? So they don't accept Kerry's offer, and we now know for an absolute certainty that they are engaging in an effort to build nuclear weapons. We already know that nuclear power plants for a country with the huge amounts of oil Iran has are utterly superflous, particularly given the huge costs involved in building one.

They are building these hugely expensive behemoths for purely economic reasons, to not have to spend so much money on oil-fired plants?

Say what?

It does no good to prove what you already know.

Kerry's offer of nuclear fuel is a joke, a very bad one, particularly in a region in which perceptions have to be managed as closely as they are in the ME. We give the Mad Mullahs nuclear fuel and they will laugh harder than they ever have.

And so will the Jihadists and everyone else who is trying to cut us off at the knees.

We will look like idiots, something we can't afford to do.
