That has been going on for a long, long time.

It seemed the POTUS and his family were above public scrutiny not that long ago. My first real memory of a president was Eisenhower. Mamie looked and acted like a grandmother and I don't remember anything about their son, John. They seemed like a nice family. The nation and my parents always showed the greatest respect for our commander in chief whoever he was.

It seems to me that the full frontal assault on the presidency started after the assassination of John Kennedy. LBJ totally screwed up the office, and except for RR, it has been a constant assault on the person holding the title.

I don't expect that to end, and I'm in agreement with the Saudis/Arabs. If someone doesn't come along soon to unite this country, we could be looking at civil war.
