Goldie... I never said that the Balkans were a 'major US deployment'... (just a recent example that tended to disprove your statement "If it were up to democrats this country would never again win a war.") (You'll perhaps recall that the vast majority of Republican leaders in Congress opposed at the time....) Other American wars that have occasionally been labeled (derisively, usually) as 'Democrat wars' were Korea, WW II & WW I (initially)... though I think it's equally valid to label the Spanish American War and Grenada as 'Republican wars'.... Vietnam, and the Cold War seem to be bipartisan affairs....
