Oh, it's much worse than that Kyros, in some respects. I don't know what this is part is about < How smart and well run do you have to be to announce a critical water shortage one week before the reservoir runs dry. Resulting in chartering tankers at great cost in a desperate effort to transport water in from Indonesia?> There was a water shortage and there is much mispricing of services resulting in overall higher prices and poor security of supply and congestion and shortage.

Nor do I know what Elroy means about the Sky Tower. It has made good money all along and I was unaware of any glitches. <How clever is it to build a smaller vanity version of Sydney's center-point tower in Aukland - then keep it closed for a few years due to defective design and construction? >

He has the health care wrong too. Some people go to Oz because there are more facilities there and the services are bought either by NZ health services here from them or by people seeking their own treatment.

He's wrong on the bright ones going overseas being a big problem, though plenty have. Despite any emigration the average IQ here is right up with the best. lagriffedulion.f2s.com Those who do go overseas often come back, as we did, bringing their money with them [or the income from their overseas investments, such as QUALCOMM Inc]. If we had stayed in NZ, there would have been less economic gain to NZ than as a result of us having lived overseas.
