The only election Bush won in 2000 was a 5 to 4 vote in the Supreme Court.

He lost the popular and the elecorial count until the election was preempted by Scalia.

I think the historians will recount Florida 2000 in a manner different than the impression you keep. I've got a strong feeling that Bush, when out of office, will not enjoy how he'll see history describing him as he wears on in age. I submit that your views about him, in the future, will change also. But debating with you right now about it? Forget it! I'll simply rest on: Time will tell!
