TP, I wonder if you really remember these events, Given that I was in high school and it was my "first war," I remember those events very well. I can't believe that you don't know by now that those faux news rants are mostly falsehoods. Oh I know it now, but how was I supposed to know back then? Given that I was an avid reader of Newsweek back then, I remember reading about how the war could turn out, including the "quagmire" possibility. Nowhere did it even mention the possibility of the war being a relative cakewalk. Tenchusatsu
