Roadside presidential poll brings a show of hands, fingers

By The Denver Post

Denver resident Bruce McNaughton thinks he knows which presidential candidate will take Colorado. He even has a poll. McNaughton and other self- described "left wingnuts" stood on the Alameda overpass at I-25 during morning rush hour Tuesday with a sign reading "Bush Lied 1000s Died." And then he counted the thumbs up, honks and waves versus the "middle-finger salute."

In an hour, he found 123 cars in support and 18 in opposition. No women, he reported, were counted in the negative reactions.

To be fair, however, his poll results may vary. He polled only those cars in the northbound lanes. Southbound may yield different results.
