How can you say that? The 90's ended with the largest equity and economic bubbles of all time popping and the Nasdaq falling about 75%. By the time Bush was in control, the economy was in deep, deep trouble. It can be easily argued that the economy would still be in deep trouble if it weren't for the tax cuts and the low interest rates that have been the administrations main economic resuscitation tools.

First you get the economy back on its feet, then you let the economy increase tax revenue to pay down the debt. Fairly straight forward theory. This is the same theory that Kennedy used and the same basic plan that Reagan went with. It worked for them and its working this time as well.
