The sad thing is that the NYTimes story went out to a gazillion other news sources world wide. And the NBC counter-story won't.

I spent a few hours on Lexis-Nexis using every possible search term I could use. And came away with the understanding that between January 2003 and October 25, 2004, this story just vanished.

NBC embed reporter apparently did not report in April 2003. I used a variety of search terms and could not find it, if they did.

I believe the NBC embed reporter, that's not the point. It would have been a "dog bites man" story, no reason to file. And now the NYTimes fronts a "man bites dog" story, and that's news, especially because it helps Kerry.

Well, I could conclude by observing that life isn't fair, but I am astonished 1) that NBC is willing to take on the NYTimes and 2) this happens in less than 24 hours.

Bless you Torie Clarke for the embeds, bless you Pajamahideen for lighting a fire under MSM's ass.
