Gus > See how convenient it is for the ruling class to bamboozle the masses with all these Bible fantasies? Sure, I'm not arguing about that. My amazement is why the Americans, in particular, are so susceptible to religious fantasy? And yes, I can also understand, according to Marx, how poor, uneducated, uninformed, unenlightened, "unexposed" people can be bamboozled by all that stuff, but I would have thought that Americans were different -- in fact, I expected them to be like their counterparts in other English-speaking countries eg UK, Australia and Canada or even Europeans, generally. But, instead, they appear to have a proclivity towards religion which seems to be no different from that of the Muslim fanatics whom they despise. Truly, we are returning to the Dark Ages.
