Hi X,

I am now back from the Great Northwest.. With a new book, just read..

"Atomic Farmgirl" by Terri Hein.. "Growing up right in the wrong place"..

A poignant account of her life growing up in a beautiful place, a wheat farm in the Palouse of eastern Washington. (btw, not that far south of our home place) With a wonderful family of hard working great American citizens.. That were betrayed by our government, operating a nuclear facility at Hanford, Washington.. Themselves, their neighbors and friends suffered the consequences.. As unwitting "down winders" from radiation...

As she said on the cover, "The betrayal of Chief Qualchan, the Appaloosa, and Me"... And the betrayal started in the 19th century when the Chief rode into the white man's camp at the invitation of the US army to sign a peace treaty and was promptly captured and hung..

At "Hangman's Creek", which I know of.. And a place near her family farm.. And the betrayal had begun ...

What can I say?

Except what unknown betrayal is going on now.. I know that there are a bunch that will be coming on down, but I can't quite pick one out that affects me and my loved ones... and the rest of the innocent people too....

I just don't know

Take care,

m
