Bush cannot admit to himself or others that Iraq is going badly. He's just said (yet again) that he cannot win the fight against terrorists. This time it sounded rather sad and desperate though and not just a dumb offhand remark.

Of course, as desperate as the mess in Iraq is to us, can you imagine how bad it is for Iraqis?
