Tuesday October 26, 2004--One week to go and it can't possibly get any closer.

The latest Rasmussen Reports Presidential Tracking Poll shows Senator John Kerry with 47.8% of the vote and President George W. Bush with 47.8%. The Tracking Poll is updated daily by noon Eastern.

When leaners are included, it's Kerry 48.8% Bush 48.7. Other Candidates attract 0.7% and 1.8% are not sure (half of those who are not sure probably won't vote). Ninety-three percent (93%) of Bush voters are certain they won't change their mind. Eighty-nine percent (89%) of Kerry voters say the same.

Yesterday, we released our latest Florida numbers showing a tie with Bush and Kerry each receiving 48% of the vote. On Sunday, we released state polling data for Iowa, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. The Rasmussen Reports Electoral College projection now shows Bush with 222 Electoral Votes and Kerry with 207. Additional state polling data will be released today at 5:00 p.m. Eastern.

Today, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern, we will release data on when voters finally made up their mind. Which way are the late deciders breaking? At that time, we will also release data on favorables for both Bush and Kerry along with data on when people expect to know who won. Will it be Election Night or weeks later?
