Thanks, I'll have a look at these sometime. One advantage that I think that the Venture exchange stocks have is that to some extent, they are all tarred by the same brush as the bad apples. The ones with honest management, as a result, have the potential to be undervalued, so if you find a good stock yourself rather than having a stranger phone you up and try to get you to buy it, there is potential to get a good deal.

My favourite stock on the Venture exchange is True North Gems (TGX). My brother is a geologist and is familiar with some of the people working there, who are top names in their field. TGX is certainly a risk, but if it were being promoted by a Robert Friedland, I could almost guarantee that it would be trading at more than ten times the market cap. Their Regal Ridge / Tsa Da Glisza Yukon emerald deposit, only one of several great properties, is absolutely massive in size, but so far lacks really high grade emeralds -- a sort of gem version of Ivanhoe's Turqoise Hills or Northern Dynasty Pebble -- except with a tiny market cap.
