doubt if the degree of partisanship is really absolute, for every Lawrence O'Donnel, there are probably 10 others who still value the integrity of the profession and though they can be partisan when it is marginally safe, when it comes to facts and outright distortions, their news reporters who risk their lives to get at some of these stories will not let obvious untruths go unchallenged.

As it did for the NBC crew who were with the 101st airborne when they enterred al Qaqaa in April 2003.


that's a very good point SBH...

i can imagine when the embedded reporters saw how the story was being repackaged and spun, having been there with our soldiers, seeing the sacrifice (and the sacrifice they themselves made) they stepped up to the plate to put out the real story
