Al, It is for both of us, I guess. For you, a born again Mickey Mouse would close the deal.

For you, any old Mickey Mouse would close the deal, as long as it isn't Bush.

Look, I know why you hate Bush, and it's perfectly understandable. The only problem is that you and I and everyone else on this thread is so damn sure of what the truth is that when we see any argument to the contrary, we consider it biased, or tainted with an agenda, or simply drivel to be ignored.

Now I'll grant you that the Bush administration hasn't been very competent. "Elephant in a tutu" comes to mind. But the reason why I'll be voting for him is because I agree with a lot of his policies, and I don't trust the "alternative" to be any more competent. Hopefully whoever gets elected will at least have the "mandate" to prescribe some bitter medicines that this country needs, both in terms of the economy and in terms of foreign policy.

Of course, if we see a repeat of Florida come next week, you can kiss that "mandate" goodbye.
