Ted, I am tired of US $$$ maintaining a regional superpower.

Well, so is Buchanan and many other "anti-Zionists" (for lack of a better word).

Unfortunately, if we unilaterally withdrew our support dollars for Israel, we're not going to see any reciprocating action from the Arab powers supporting Palestine. Worse yet, they'll probably be encouraged to become more belligerent towards Israel. Not your problem, you say? We'll see (or maybe not, for reasons I won't bother to go into).

In all seriousness, Israel's arsenal dwarfs anything the Arabs have. The likelihood of them attacking Israel in any concerted effort is nil to zero. Israel castrated them long ago.

Re: Unfortunately, if we unilaterally withdrew our support dollars for Israel,...

...Zionist fanatics --either Israelis or Americans or both--would set off a nuclear bomb in Washington DC... If you Yanks dumped Israel overnight then your country would be bordered with two gulfs: the Gulf of Mexico to the south and... the Gulf of Washington to the east --or would you prefer the "Washington Bay"?
