The Arabs lost the war, and the rest is history. Had the Arab countries accepted the UN's 1947 vote, there would be a Palestinian state today. They didn't, and to the victor goes the spoils of war. It's that simple. Well then, why doesn't Israel annex the WB and Gaza and get it over with? They are slowly doing that, aren't they? Only small pieces.........they can't afford to swallow the whole thing. Too many Arabs......it would screw up their population ratios. However, the WB is sitting on a huge aquifer of water. Israel is very water short. The WB ain't going anywhere any time soon. ted
