It is not usual to say things like "we are free because of this man" in a eulogy. Even making allowances for some exaggeration, the claims on his behalf are extraordinary. Furthermore, some of the same stuff was said at other times in the past "non- eulogistically" by various of the dissidents, although I suppose you may have missed it.

My point is not to settle the objective claim, but to point out that one need not be an American conservative, but may be a mildly Leftish dissident or a dissident trade unionist, for example, and give Reagan a lot of credit.

If you take note of the list I posted today, among my icons are FDR, Harry Truman, George Orwell, Pablo Picasso, and Bob Dylan. I do not know what kind of "church" one might make out of that, but it is not especially conservative. Of course, your references to my "religion" and so forth have never made much sense. I say I like someone, you accuse me of worshipping them. Go figure.
