EDWARDS WAS IN COLLEGE IN 1971, Edwards was born on June 10, 1953. That put him in the Vietnam draft lottery of Feb. 2, 1972, when Edwards was a sophomore at North Carolina State University. (Like a great many college students, he opposed the war.) slate.msn.com even though he did not get a draft number until 72, as you can see by the article that he was a FRESHMAN IN COLLEGE IN 71. that MADE him old enough to serve had he wanted to. what part of that are you too stupid to comprehend?
