I was reading Ride the Tiger for many months before the idea to start up a website came along. I spend a lot of time on the road but always set asside an hour or two to catch up on the posts here whenever I can find a computer. I hope you are right about November 5th, but in my darkest days I worry that we may see the election turn into another drawn out legal battle that will carry into the new year before it is finally resolved. The most encouraging aspect to all of this is that control of the PM sector appears to be passing overseas. North American speculators, myself included, tend to see gold and PM stocks as a meal ticket, a way to ride a hot sector into multiplying personal wealth. This accounts for the on again - off again pace to the trading. Very easy to manipulate and fleece the small specs. However in Asia investing in gold and silver is more an issue of security. People are less interested in paper futures and leveraged speculation. They are also less likely to sell and take "profits" along the way. In fact rather than be spooked out of PM holdings, Asian buyers are the beneficiaries of the artificially lower priced bullion from CB dumping by the west. With the piss-poor outlook for the USD, I think the climate of fear and uncertainty will feed increased demand for the physical bullion from overseas buying and that will put the manipulation scheme to an end. I need look no further than my own PF to see evidence of my theory. CC has made a strong case for Goldmoney, but I have no interest in it, as I want leveraged speculation. If in fact the paper game comes to an end, or we see an abrupt devaluation of the USD along the lines of what Argentina went through, the holders of junior equities may find themselves in serious trouble just like the bagholders of GOOG. I have a small pile of silver bars that may see me through. I hope the gold bull market proves to be an orderly sector rotation out of broader market stocks into PM stocks. Otherwise only the holders of physical gold will be the ultimate winners. By the way, my website is WWW.smartinvestment.ca and all are welcome to post there. My website and forum are both free, as I have a few deals lined up from advertisers that covers all the expenses and leaves a bit left over. The rules are pretty much the same as here, and my discussion forum was modeled after Ride the Tiger. Cheers! COACH247
