Relevant precedents that've been pointed out to me, although I'm sure many others exist but will be harder to find because the outcome was thread removal: Message 19893933 Message 19894017 Message 19928630 These are all Dave quotes and I know I've written much the same in the past, and his posts on Admin matters are every bit as binding as mine have ever been.

Dood, you want to poof this thread, so just do it, quit poking around. As my dad used to say, the more you poke around in chit, the more it stinks. Me? Don't care one way or the other. What's a thread to me about how I lost $30k half a decade ago? Nothing. Just poking around in chit. Poof it and be done with it, before you start looking really not smart, as you always do in these iffy situations of which you start "splainin'" your stance. You know you really, really want to poof it, don't you? Dave sure as hell does. Just be done with it, and have a Guinness. No biggie. Just ether. Just the reason this place exists. Cheers.
