TAIPEI (AFX) - Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission Vice Chairwoman Susan Chang yesterday met Yi Gang, an aide to China's central bank governor, and exchanged views on financial issues, the Economic Daily News reported, without naming a source

Yi said an official from China's central bank will deliver a speech today on yuan/Hong Kong dollar currency settlements, which can serve as a reference for discussion for a Taiwan dollar/yuan currency settlement mechanism, the daily reported

The speech will propose Fujian province as the starting point for yuan/Taiwan dollar currency settlement, the report added, without identifying a source
