I meant the culture and its political orientation. Saddam was a product of that culture. In that sense, Iraqi culture created him.....let them take care of him.

This still doesn't absolve outsiders from their moral responsibility to help the oppressed Iraqi masses. The idea that Saddam rose up from some "Iraqi culture" doesn't imply that only Iraqis should be involved in his removal. Pol Pot rose from Cambodian "culture", Robert Mugabe arose from Zimbabwean culture and Noriega rose from Panamanian culture. If outsiders get the opportunity to depose these despots, they should.


I don't agree. Our military should be for the protection of US citizens, and not the citizens of Iraq or N. Korea or Mexico etc. I would not want China coming into this country and trying to decide what's best for the US and its citizens.
