They were also paid by Clinton, too, and had to respect his authority via the chain of command, but I don't think many actually liked the former draft-dodger.

Reminds me of my very conservative friend from West Point. In his parents home hangs a picture of him shaking hands with then President Clinton during the graduation ceremony. The look on my friend's face was priceless. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet the President, and he basically wore a grimace.
