I think the problem is we are very certain and how interactions ought to be. We take our western experience of our relationships and interactions and try to apply it to different cultures and then we are taken aback, when they interact differently. Their alliances seem to very dynamic and is based on lot more factors than just the nation. There's language, family, caste, tribe, religion, cleric, nation, etc etc. In addition, there is decade long family rivalry, where killing for revenge in an honor. I agree. Well said. ted
