Maybe the corporate elite...

Who are these "corporate elite[s]" variously alluded to on this thread?

...have already infiltrated the LP party (just in case).

"[J]ust in case" of what?

People who are pro-business, anti-government intervention, and don't think that property rights are lost at some threshold of wealth - or that success is something to be ashamed of - are welcome, indeed encouraged, to join the Libertarian Party. They wouldn't have to "infiltrate."

LPS5 could be their agent on SI!!

I've made no secret that I deeply value freedom, individual responsibility, and the protection of private property rights - all, I should add, set forth by the framers in the U.S. Constitution. Nor have I concealed, but rather stated proudly (and numerously) that I'm a member of the Libertarian Party, and I am active in various freedom-focused efforts.

Why are you suggesting - unsurprisingly, I concede, but nonetheless, I must ask - that there is some conspiracy afoot? Musing as to the presence of "agent[s]," efforts at "infiltrat[ion]," and the like?

Off topic re: Libertarian Party

lp.org

"Americans had few problems with cocaine, opium, heroin or marijuana. Drugs were inexpensive; crime was low. Most users handled their drug of choice and lived normal, productive lives."

lp.org

"Numerous studies have demonstrated that increased immigration has little or no effect on the wages of most American workers, and may even increase wages at upper income levels."

lp.org

"Someone starting a business today needs a battery of lawyers
just to comply with the myriad of government regulations from
a virtual alphabet soup of government agencies: OSHA, EPA,
FTC, CPSC, etc. Zoning and occupational licensing laws are
particularly damaging to the type of small businesses that may
help people work their way out of poverty.

In addition, government regulations such as minimum wage laws
and mandated benefits drive up the cost of employing additional
workers. We call for the repeal of government regulations and
taxes..."

There you have it folks. Cheap cocaine and heroine for the masses. No consumer protection regulations. No work place safety regulations. No environmental protection regulations. No minimum wage or benefit packages for workers. And lots of immigrants to man sweat shops, in order to line the pockets of those in the top income brackets. All straight from the horse's mouth, right off their official website.

The amazing part is how anyone would admit to being one. It seems like the sort of thing one would do behind closed doors, and wash their hands afterward.
