It was the OIL, stupid. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out when they neglect to secure the HX dumps but make sure they secure the oilfields and oil offices first. Plus, the oilfields are about the only secure places in Iraq now. And where is the oil going? Into and through Bushie big corporate hands. Yes, Halliburton gets a nice piece. But the US taxpayers get nothing but a doubling of their energy prices. Actually up "only" 70% this year under Bush-Cheney, thge big energy ticket. 1100 American dead and 8500 wounded for corporate oil profits.
