Sure, no one thinks the jihadists will win in the long run. But what will we have to endure if we don't do absolutely all we can now to prevent them from progressing?

No one in 1979, certainly not Carter nor Brezinzski, and certainly not Reagan in 1985, thought that arming and fomenting the mujahadin in Afghanistan would have had the disastrous ultimate effect we are seeing now. They were of course concentrating on the Cold War at the time--we do not have such a handy excuse anymore.

The jihadis need to be stopped now. I know that fully stopping them is impossible, but their movement cannot be allowed to progress.

Look for a huge swell in the Jihadis ranks and a huge increase in terror if Kerry is elected and bends to the political winds by abandoning Iraq.
