Ted, I must have missed that article, but I have read several other articles on OC housing prices throughout this year.

Its out today......Cal Fullerton is predicting a 10-20% correction next year. The good news is that that will only take prices back to Spring of 2003.

Personally, I'm still of the opinion that demand is still high in the OC. On the other hand, one of my former roommates in Oregon just bought a house that is 50% larger in square footage, but less than half the price of my house here. Now that's just plain crazy.

In the past two months, demand has plummeted for new homes throughout the country......regions reporting drops include NV, TX, New England and now some places in the Midwest. The median price for new homes dropped 8% in one month. That's huge.

As for your former roommate, his/her numbers sound suspect....does he/she live in Portland?
