Well, assuming it's true, I imagine that the Bushies are having a tough time deciding the right way to "handle' this. On the one hand, as you mentioned, they could be seen as being weak on protection.... Drudge isn't high on my list of quotable authorities. I agree with you that the Bushies would be anguishing over what to do and when to do it. Especially, now that the story has "leaked". Given that there are only six days left, there's additional pressure that the decision they make must be the correct one. There's no time to recover, or for the electorate to forget. jttmab
