This kind of reasoning supports too much. We can always say that "our Bush works in mysterious ways. It's not for us to question his will. We must accept that there's a good reason and that we know too little to hope to understand and must, therefor, keep the faith." Of course that kind of thinking is a lot easier if you think that he is the vessel of God.

I'm ready to discuss anything you wish to, provided you don't make misleading statements like the one I quoted above. It absolutely, positively does not reflect what I've said or believe; it fraudulently mischaracterizes what I've said in my posts.

As far as the rest of your post is concerned, I'll simply remind you of Brezinzski's statement about he and Carter not worrying about a few stirred up Muslims when he and Carter began supporting the mujahadin in Afghanistan in 1979. Little did they know that they, along with Reagan starting in 1985, inadvertantly built AQ's foundations. I suppose the same thing was said about Hitler, whom a lot of intelligent people thought was a simple buffoon during the early 1930s.

Science fiction? I only hope you're right. I fear you don't have a grip on the historical dynamics being played out. It will be a disaster if only a third or a quarter of what can happen actually takes place, and it very well might.
