China's leading copper producers must find and develop overseas mining resources if they are to keep pace with the country's surging demand for the red metal, a leading industry official said.

I think they can just buy the discoveries. Indeed, China ( through China Minmetals) is buying Canadas Noranda who owns 60 % of Falconbridge Ltd. (T.FL) and its 45% ownership of the 4 th largest copper mine in the world in Chile called Coluhuasi.

PM producers might be well advised to buy exploration jrs with exciting properties now before bullion price increases. When its time to motor, its time to motor. Buy the damn resource and be there when the "price is right".
