OK, even though I've learned to expect the unexpected from you, got me again. I mean, here is this raging debate -- you smack dab at the center of it, not being cast in the best light and all -- and "thanks" to etc. is all you've got? Nothing to say to me, nothing to Bill, nothing to Poet? What's up with that? Drama? Drum roll, get everyone on the edge of their seats before you clear your throat and, and...

Cool, you know I adore theater. Dad always said the script has to have a bullet proof set-up, delay and pay-off. Otherwise it sucks.

So far, you're doing so-so in my book. The set-up "thanks" is lame (makes you look a tad hesitant, distant, not willing to face stuff, know what I mean?), but I have to admit the delay is not too bad: clever, sort of, but feeds the same problems as the set-up. The pay-off better be killer, don't you think?

The Early Days "...and it wasn't long, maybe late 1998, till he approached me about teaching me to daytrade. much of his basic advice was sound, and when he proposed that he trade my $10K and split the profits 50-50, it seemed like a great idea. he began losing money immediately, said that since he wasn't making a profit, he needed money to pay that month's rent and asked for $1000, which we sent."

About the same time that the above person was approached, I was approached with the first instance of "The Partner Blew Up My Account, So I Fired Him"

In Dec. 98, TLC wanted $3K from me to get him back into daytrading, what he does best. Which, obviously from above, "best" is perhaps not the best adjective. I thought the amount rather low, so maybe the facts weren't exactly as presented. Still, I kicked in $1K just to be a nice guy.

Question: who blew up the account?

I was told a second time, about three months later that "The Partner Blew Up The Account", not knowing about above poster, upon whose experience, TLC actually blew up the account.

So, who was "The Partner Who Blew..."? Looks like there never was one.

I really expected more from you than this.

"Thanks"

I've enjoyed your posts for a number of years, but it appears that you've used your Silicon Investor notoriety for the same ill gotten gains that many Pink CEO's have been chastised for.

I'm especially sorry for Bob Z. who's a great guy that unfortunately hired you.

*Update*: Early today I received, via express mail, full payment money order from TLC (I check my mailbox late, much like I check my PM box).

To TLC,
I very much appreciate that, and towards my end, this matter is now resolved. I know you've got a road ahead but I also know that most, if not all, of us have been there at some point. Please take to heart my PM that, something no matter how big or small, goes a long mile towards the right thing. Any knowledgeable baseball fan knows about the real value of singles over grand slams. I think, hope and believe your talents will enable you to successfully get over the "rough side" of the road and into "home stretch". You move a little bit and the whole mountain will move with you. Been there, still even a bit there, truthfully. A lot of us are, to one degree or another.

Yours Sincerely,
-MrB

Chicken,

Are there any other instances where you lost a
significant amount of money for a SI board member(s)?

Do you have a money management license? or authority for a
joint venture (for investing) or partnership with individual investors?

What did you do to pay these members back and when did you do it?

"I'm not trying to be a dick", I just want to know what's going on.

Where's your column that was on the front page of SI?
Did SI become disatisfied with your "rag" of a column?
Was it, maybe, the outer space creatures that appeared in your column?

Thanks Chicken!!!!
