Looking at the division of interests in Iraq, it is obvious that some countries preferred the status quo because it served their economic interests, especially France and Russia.

Just pretend for a moment that I am right about the lack of justification to go to war with Iraq.

Looking at the situation under that light, one might suppose Bush invaded Iraq for purely economic self-interest. I am not suggesting that was one of or the only rationale, I am just requesting you look at the issue in that light, since you've focussed the discussion there.

War for purely economic ends -- How do you feel about that?
