===> "I agree with you about the Shah, but he was our puppet...." <===

What does "he was our puppet" really mean?

America has fought against brutal Fascist and Communist regimes. Because of the sacrifices of America's men and women in uniform, quite a bit of this world is free and democratic.

But....... look at other parts of this world, like in the Middle East and Africa. Most of the countries there are run by incompetent, brutal, corrupt dictators.

If America tries to get more human, progressive leaders, like the Shah, then America is accused of setting up a "puppet government", regardless of how much better that government is for the people of the country.

Look what Bush is trying to accomplish in Iraq and Afghanistan. He wants to set up peaceful democracies, who will work to make the lives of the people better. As a result of this, perhaps peace, freedom and democracy will spread to other parts of the Middle East and Africa.

A vote for Bush is a vote for peace, stability, democracy and freedom for this world.
