Your posts deserve a special amount of attention and your dedication to the pursuit of good debate is an asset to this thread. Your attention to details has forced a higher level of commitment to good conversation. I offer the same props to the voices from both sides.

I never expect to have any of my arguments to change the direction of your analysis. That would be a futile act of ego. That being said, I hope to give some people with similiar confidence in the current administration something to chew on.

I wonder how long the level of debate will continue beyond the election. I am one to advocate a bit of a rest from the policital rhetoric. Maybe we need a non-partisan vacation break from all of the tension. Maybe we could host an ex-conservative/neocon party.<gg>

I really hope for a level of debate that includes something beyond the pure partisan tension. I don't want to go into the election believing that America is so "myopic" to think that our current state of affairs would be much different. I accept the high level of criticism as a natural differences of opinion. It just pains me to see how many people are rejecting the inevitable course of events that have unfolded. I think most American's are emotionally upset about the fact that an outside threat has left us with more qquestions than answers.

My only point is that there are just as many questions we should be asking about the Europeans or Middle Eastern agendas as our own.

I would typically use an expression like "Peace!!" to sign off on a recognition of competing values. Thought I would use a better one from one of my Democratic friends running for office in Virginia -

"Deal!!"<gg>
