I think in general, military people have much greater respect for their high level military leaders than for the CIC.Especially if he wouldn't be their choice for the position.

I did see on the news tonight that an 18 yr. old marine recruit was being charged with attempted murder for holding his girlfriend hostage after she said she was leaving him, and going to vote for JFK. Must have been a pretty mixed up boy.
