30 million????

How the hell is Chaney going to survive on a mere 30 mil? He made at least twice that and probably more. The number I heard was 75 mil.

I could be wrong. Maybe his enormous net worth came from his selfless years as a "public servant".

Not bad compensation considering the stock went nowhere during his tenure and most company metrics (ROI, ROE, etc.) actually declined during his five years.

Another thing....Chaney never ran Halliburton. He doesn't know diddly about the business. Dave Lesar always ran the company. Chaney was just a rainmaker, the guy with the grease.

Take a look at Chaney's shape pre- and post-Halliburton. Definitely too many fatcat lunches at the Petroleum Club in Dallas.
