I'm glad my Dad wasn't alive to see this. The shock would have killed him.

OK, so I plead 12:30 PM and a beer and a margarita.

I am wiped out...have a headache..running on fumes...never felt better.

They think that 10 million people will come to Boston for the parade on Saturday. The Celtics were always big, as were the Bruins and as are the Patriots....BUT...this is a baseball town and has been since the middle 1800's. All the ghosts were unleashed last night....

It is said that the entire turning point of the series was when Roberts stole 2nd base in Game 4 against the Yanks. There are certainly many other heros...Damon, Schilling, Lowe, Cabrerra, Ortiz, Nixon etc. etc....BUT...Roberts was the guy who turned it around and created baseball's karmic shift. No outs... everyone KNEW he was going to steal. A fastball rocketed to Posada's glove, the throw was near perfect but slightly to the shortstop side of the bag giving Roberts the edge...SAFE! The Red Sox are probably the slowest team in major league baseball and that's why they traded for Roberts...the stars (and the moon) aligned last night.

My MVP is Keith Foulke...16 closing innings...1 run. I could also make a case for 6 other guys too.

One really interesting fact is that the starting 9 were brought in by Theo Epstein (4), Dan Duquette(4), and Lou Gorman (1). This thing is far bigger than this year's team.

I hope I'm not boring all you guys to death...remember...I'm still buying the drinks through the weekend!
