Is Kerry "slouching toward the White House, waiting to be President?" This will get the evangelical vote out!

WorldNetDaily reports:

During his presidential campaign in Iowa today, Democrat John Kerry was surrounded by a sea of handheld signs displaying the number six on them.

That caught the attention of Dr. Michael Maddox of Kaufman, Texas, who happened to record this evening broadcast of ABC's "World News Tonight."

"You can imagine my surprise, when they broadcast a video of John Kerry finishing a speech in Iowa to the acclaim of hundreds of people waving signs with the number six on them," he said. "The imagery of 666 appearing everywhere was too much to be ignored. I had to rewind my TIVO and shoot these photos of the TV screen."

According to the book of Revelation in the Bible, the number "666" is associated with an end-time beast power.

"Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six." Revelation 13:18

The signs actually are part of a final-week campaign countdown, and read: "6 More Days To A Fresh Start."

There is a hospital in Ramallah, he can go there. He just didn't want to because there are political costs to his moving. There are a bevy of terrorists holed up in the Mukata with him, "with blood on their hands", as the Israelis say, and only his physical presence is preventing the Israelis from taking them. I don't see Nabil Shaath or Saeb Erekat vowing to protect those terrorists with their lives.

Once Arafat is gone (may it be soon), the thing to watch is the money and the guns, imo. If you can. Arafat always ruled despite the chaotic conditions he himself created by keeping a tight fist on the money. Who will get the purse strings? Who gets the most boyos with the guns? That's the question. Arafat's aides can form all the committees they please, I don't give any of the "Tunisians" high chances once the shooting starts.

Washington and elsewhere speak of changing the map of the Middle East, as if ancient societies and myriad peoples can be shaken up like so many peanuts in a jar.

Well gee, Ed. How do you suppose the ancient civilizations rooted in the Middle East became Muslim? Could it be that ole Caliph "shake and bake by the sword" magic? Muslim rulers were imposed by the sword, and the populations adapted to the new realities and pressures. The Caliphs didn't need to radically change the societies, they mostly maintained the existing elite to run things for them. But nonetheless the whole Middle East changed to match the meme of the rulers. Victory by sword, conquest by example.
